Do you experience other symptoms like:

Most of my clients complain of at least a few of these when they first come to the clinic. They are frustrated, tried a multitude of things to no avail and are searching for answers.
Meet Jenny Sechler DC
GNP-BC, FNP-BC
Dr. Jenny began her health care career after receiving her BSN in Nursing in 1988 where she spent several years working in hospitals and emergency departments. After many years, Dr Jenny became aware that the traditional model of health care was outstanding for acute issues but failed miserably for chronic problems. Applying bandaids and symptom suppression rather than identifying root causes became a frustration that led Dr. Jenny to further her education and and became dual certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
There are 3 keys to identifying root causes and restoring health and vitality.
The most important lies in the trillions of bugs that live in our gut.
Our gut is home to trillions of microbes known as our gut microbiotia or gut flora. The words “your microbiome” are becoming a more commonly used word to describe all the “bugs” that live in your gut. These bugs or microbes play a vital role in many physiological processes like:
Digestion
Metabolism
Hormone Support
Immune Function
Neurotransmitter Support
Maintaining a healthy and diverse gut microbiome is crucial for overall health and well being.
One of the first things we do with our clients is to take a deep dive at who is living in their microbiome as that will give us clues to the root problems and help to create solutions.
The second key to restoring health and vitality are your hormones.
Our hormones are vital to our overall health and achieving a balance is challenging as we age. Our thyroid hormones, our insulin, our sex hormones are sometimes addressed, but our cortisol that supports our stress glands are the most overlooked hormone in the body and plays a crucial role in our health. The third key to optimal health is our ability to detoxify.
We are exposed to so many chemicals, pollutants and toxins on a daily basis from our make up to our food to the environment. Our bodies have to be able to process and break these substances down, but unfortunately we get overwhelmed and we cannot eliminate the toxins and they back up and cause us problems.
Optimizing gut microbes will improve overall health.
Hippocrates once said: “All disease begins in the gut”
By identifying the microbes in your gut, solutions are found to symptoms, illness and disease.
The microbiome is a key player in our health. Understanding our hormones and how detoxification plays a role in our health helps us to address root causes promoting a greater sense of health and wellbeing. Tapping into our brain’s ability to rewire and optimize its funciton adds an extra element to improving and sustaining our health and vitality.
